Despicable Me Roleswap AU where Lucy and Gru switch places. They're the only ones swapped because I want to focus my efforts on writing for them...plus, well. I'd never say no to an evil woman. All graphics are made by me unless stated otherwise.
Currently my ideas are focused on the plots of Despicable Me 1, 2, and Minions: The Rise of Gru. I don't know if I'll include DM 3 and 4 yet.
I never thought I'd get so into this silly alternate universe to warrant a site section for it, but here we are. Yes, there is 100% favoritism happening in here...I just wanted an excuse to really dig into Lucy's psyche for a bit. Putting my favorite characters through the wringer is my favorite pasttime since forever. And since I love compiling information in an accessible place, I've decided to make this section!
This being a swap of roles, instead of a full character swap (with their personalities) is pretty much intended. I think it's fun when the manic pixie dream woman is a villain! I'm trying my best to be as close to canon as possible with regards to Lucy and Gru's personalities, but let's be honest here: When it comes to Lucy, there's...a bit of blank space to fill in, because there's not a lot to work with outside of her bubbly, sweet, kinda silly self. This is especially true with her prologue/Rise of Lucy story, in which I have to work with a lot of "what if"s. I promise I'm trying to be smart about it.
Anyways, I wanted to say my thanks for your interest in my silly AU stuff! It means a whole lot that you're checking around. And yes, before you say "Despicable Me?? Really???" Just know that I've made my peace way before I decided I'd make a site section for this. This is serious sincere business. You think I'd waste my time on this if I was being ironic about it?
